In the article Searching For Silence it explains the silence manifesto from John Cage. Sounds from the environment can make music. Cage wants to convey that all sounds are music. He had performances that were controversial by having the sounds be just from the audience.(chairs squeaking, etc) I like it because it challenges peoples way of thinking and music in general.
